2020 Bitcoin Halving - 2020

The Bitcoin halving (or Halvening) is an event that occurs every 210,000 blocks on the Bitcoin network. To celebrate it Splinterlands minted 12000 copies of the Halfling Alchemist. Halfling Alchemist possesses the Halving ability - upon successful attack, the strength of the opponent's attack is cut in half. At level 4, Halfling Alchemist gains the Redemption ability as well!

All three of these cards were discoverable in Mystery Potions. Mystery potions gave players a chance to get a random reward daily. Only 90 copies of each card were printed. Archmage Arius, Prince Julian, and Mighty Dricken were added progressively when the previous card went out of print.
*Fun Fact: With only 1 card in circulation, Gold Foil Mighty Dricken is the rarest card in Splinterlands!
Chaos Legion Pre-sale - 2021

Chaos Legion is the next big expansion right after Untamed. To reward early buyers during the presale, Doctor Blight was announced. Each pack purchased within the first 1 million had a 2% chance of receiving a Doctor Blight card, and each airdropped card had a 2% chance to turn into a Gold Foil version. Doctor Blight's abilities include Affliction, Camouflage, and Poison (at Level 2) At Level 3 Doctor Blight gains Scavenger and Level 4 adds Weaken to the mix. Doctor Blight Is playable in both Wild and Modern formats.
Waka Spiritblade Promotional Sale - 2022

After the Waka Flocka Partnership, 1000 Waka Spiritblade cards were minted. 500 to be sold on Splinterlands website (costing 5000 SPS and 500 VOUCHER) and the remaining 500 to be sold on AtomicHub (WAX). Granting all friendly units the Poison ability, Waka Spiritblade is playable in both Wild and Modern formats.

Riftwartchers is the next mini-set right after Dice. In order to reward early buyers during the presale, Oshuur Constantia was announced as the pre-sale Promo Card. Each pack purchased within the first 500k had a 2% chance of receiving the Oshuur Constantia card, and each airdropped card got a 4% of chance to turn into a Gold Foil version as well.
At Level 1, Oshuur Constantia possesses the Resurrect ability. At Level 2 she gains the Reflection Shield ability. At Level 3, the Tank Heal ability is unlocked. Oshuur Constantia Is playable in both Wild and Modern formats.
Splinterlands first "Generative NFT" Project - 2022
The Runicore (Runi) is Splinterland's first NFT minted on the Ethereum blockchain. Playable within the Splinterlands game, Runi can be bought and sold on Opensea.io. Learn more about the Runicore in the Official Peakd post and Runi: Trait Details and Abilities.
The new Rebirth ability allows the Runi to resurrect itself once. Runi also possess the Opportunity ability at Level 1, The True Strike ability at Level 2, and the Reflection Shield ability at Level 3. Runi can also be used as your Splinterlands Avatar.
Splinterfest Promo Card - 2022

Lux Vega is Splinterlands' first Neutral Summoner. Attendees of the First Splinterfest reserved a spot in the Lux Vega Sale, but the sale was open to all members of the Splinterlands community. Similar to Dragon Summoners, Lux Vega is able to summon another Element to fight alongside her Neutral units. However, no units from the Dragon Element are summonable by Lux Vega.

Arkemis the Bear was created as part of the Winterfest Promotional Sale. Similar to the Halfling Alchemist, Level 4 Arkemis has the Halving ability. Arkemis also offers Protection to all friendly units. Arkemis gains Forcefield at Level 7, and Enrage at Level 10. Arkemis the Bear is a powerful addition to any deck!

SPS DAO Mints Promo Card for SPS Stakers is a prime example of a successful community proposal. The sale took place on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023, and ran for 7 days. Zyriel is the first multi-element card - able to be called forth by both life and death summoners. Zyriel is the first tradeable card with Weapons Training. The Baron's Bounty Bitcoin Halving Promo Event introduced two new cards with Halving. Use Baron Fyatt to debilitate your opponent's back line and Henchling Enforcer to beat down your opponent's tank, reducing their attack by half! Players have 15 days to purchase these cards and earn chances to qualify for prizes including Land Plots, Runi, and Untamed Packs. Titles will be awarded to the top 200 leaderboard spots as well.
