"The first time the Monster takes damage it is ignored."
If used by your opponent, Blast, Return Fire, Thorns, Magic Reflect and Backfire can all count as the first attack
|Top 3 Rulesets||Bottom 3 Rulesets|
|Super Sneak - While your opponents monsters are focused on your last monster, the others keep their divine shield, this might be the edge you need to win!||Explosive Weaponry - Adjacent monsters to the target will have divine shield removed by the blast impact|
|Weak Magic - increase the odds that your monsters will last longer in battle by providing an additional shield||Fire & Regret - damage taken from return fire will destroy your divine shield|
|Equal Opportunity - Draw your opponent in with sacrificial, low health monster. While your more deadly monsters strike to kill||Counterspell - damage taken from magic reflect will destroy your divine shield. Consider this when including a Magic monster in your lineup.|
|Top 3 Abilities||Bottom 3 Abilities|
|Stun - Prevent your enemy from attacking, buying yourself more time to destroy them.||Poison - If your opponent plays a monster with poison, be aware that your monster will still be impacted even if divine shield is in place.|
|Immunity - grants your monster immunity to negative status effects. When paired with Divine Shield the protection allows them to live longer - dealing out more damage!||Return Fire - damage taken from return fire will destroy your divine shield. Be aware that your opponent may use this ability to render your Divine Shield useless!|
|Retaliate - make your opponent pay for melee attacks. With retaliate, monsters have a chance returning the attack. This can trigger even if the attacking monster strikes your Divine Shield.||Magic Reflect - damage taken from magic reflect will destroy your divine shield. Be aware that your opponent may use this ability to render your Divine Shield useless!|
- All retaliatory abilities and rulesets will remove Divine Shield ( Blast, Return Fire, Thorns, Magic Reflect and Backfire). Use Divine Shield wisely!
- Divine Shield will be re-applied when a monster with the Divine Shield ability is resurrected.
