Stun - Prevent your enemy from attacking, buying yourself more time to destroy them. | Poison - If your opponent plays a monster with poison, be aware that your monster will still be impacted even if divine shield is in place. |
Immunity - grants your monster immunity to negative status effects. When paired with Divine Shield the protection allows them to live longer - dealing out more damage! | Return Fire - damage taken from return fire will destroy your divine shield. Be aware that your opponent may use this ability to render your Divine Shield useless! |
Retaliate - make your opponent pay for melee attacks. With retaliate, monsters have a chance returning the attack. This can trigger even if the attacking monster strikes your Divine Shield. | Magic Reflect - damage taken from magic reflect will destroy your divine shield. Be aware that your opponent may use this ability to render your Divine Shield useless! |
Remarkable Interactions
- All retaliatory abilities and rulesets will remove Divine Shield ( Blast, Return Fire, Thorns, Magic Reflect and Backfire). Use Divine Shield wisely!
- Divine Shield will be re-applied when a monster with the Divine Shield ability is resurrected.
Summoners with Divine Shield:
With a mana cost of 3, Lorna Shine can be a game changer, particularly in the lower leagues. Essentially giving all of your monsters a free pass when first attacked, Lorna Shine can give you the necessary opening to destroy you opponent!
