Taunt
"All enemy Monsters target this Monster (if they are able to)."
Notable Rulesets
Top 3 Rulesets | Bottom 3 Rulesets |
Fog of War - With Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity being unusable, direct your opponent's attacks away from your tank by placing a taunting monster in the last position. | Little League - No monsters with taunt and a mana cost of 4 or below exist. Rendering both taunt and fury unusable within this ruleset. |
Explosive Weaponry - Strategically place your taunting monster in the first or last position, (ideally next to a monster with Reflection Shield) in order to prevent your monsters from taking excess damage from blast. Consider adding a healing monster to extend the life of your taunting monster. | Back to Basics - Monsters lose all abilities. Consider whether your monster with Taunt is still worth putting in your lineup. |
Noxious Fumes - By drawing your opponent's fire upon a single monster, you prevent your other monsters from taking immediate damage. Load your lineup with high health monsters with heal to ensure that they are ready for battle when/if your taunting monster falls. | Unprotected - Consider how heavily your taunting monster relies upon armor and whether removing it impacts their usefulness in that instance. |
Notable Abilities
Top 3 Abilities | Bottom 3 Abilities |
Void/Void Armor/Shield - Any ability that reduces the impact of attacks will keep your taunting monster in the game longer. | Fury - Beware the monster with fury - it will do double damage to your taunting monster! |
Phase/Dodge/Blind - Any ability that interferes with the Attack Accuracy of your opponent will be of great benefit to your taunting monster. | Giant Killer - Beware the monster with Giant Killer. This ability does double damage against targets that cost 10 or more mana which may make short work of your taunting monster. |
Thorns/Return Fire/Magic Reflect - Force your opponent to pay for successful attacks with these retaliatory abilities. | Stun - Whilst your taunting monster remains helpless, damage will rain down upon it if your opponent plays a monster with Stun. |
Remarkable Interactions
- Monsters that are in the first position can not attack a monster with taunt if it is NOT in the first position.
