Blast Splash Damage Interactions

Blast

"Deals an additional 50% damage (rounded up) to units adjacent to the target."

Blast Splash Damage is the damage taken by Units adjacent to the recipient of a direct  Blast attack. Certain Abilities & Status Effects interact differently with Blast damage. 

Increases Blast Damage

Decreases Blast Damage

Activates on Blast Damage

Giant Killer 

Increases Blast damage if the adjacent Unit costs 10 or more mana.

Shield

Decreased Blast Damage from melee and ranged attacks. 

Snare

Spreads to adjacent Flying Units via Blast damage.

Knock Out

Increases Blast damage if the adjacent Unit is Stunned. 

Void

Decreases Blast Damage from magic attacks. 

Scavenger

If a Unit is killed by Blast damage, it is Scavengeable.

Oppress

Increases Blast damage if the adjacent Unit has no attack.

Forcefield

Reduces Blast damage to 1 only if the base Blast damage (pre-modifier) is >= 5.

 

Magic Reflect 

Units taking Blast damage will return damage to magic attackers. 

 

Fury

Increases Blast damage if the adjacent Unit has Taunt 

 

 

 

Divine Shield

Ignores Blast damage if it is the first successful attack.

 

 

Return Fire

Units taking Blast damage will return damage to ranged attackers. 

Recharge

Units with Recharge and Blast will deliver 3x blast damage if attacks are successful.

Deflect

Ignores Blast damage if adjacent to the target. 

Bloodlust

If a Unit with Bloodlust destroys a Unit adjacent to the target with Blast damage, Bloodlust will trigger.

Expose

If Expose removes a defensive ability, Exposed Units will no longer experience reduced Blast damage. 

 

 

Void Armor

Magical Blast damage strikes armor first. 

 

Enrage

Units with Enrage that receive Blast damage directly to their health will become Enraged. 

Piercing

Blast damage paired with Piercing can rip through armor and decrease health to Blast-adjacent Units. 

Protect

Additional armor can help to protect the health from melee and ranged Blast damage.

Martyr

If a Unit with Martyr is killed by Blast damage, Martyr will activate. 

 

 

  

Redemption

If a Unit with Redemption is killed by Blast damage, Redemption will activate. 

 

  

Execute

If an adjacent unit's health is 2 or less after taking blast damage,  from a unit with Execute, the aggressor will Execute the adjacent unit. 

 

Blast Damage will NOT activate the following abilities:

  • Deathblow- Will not increase Blast damage even if the adjacent Unit is the only one left on the team.

  • Dispel - Dispel cannot spread to adjacent Units via Blast damage. 
  • Cripple - Cripple cannot spread to adjacent Units via Blast damage. 
  • Expose - Expose cannot spread to adjacent Units via Blast damage. 
  • Life Leech - Life Leech cannot spread to adjacent Units via Blast damage. 
  • Affliction - Affliction cannot spread to adjacent Units via Blast damage. 
  • Backfire - Blast damage cannot miss adjacent Units, so Backfire and other abilities that rely on evasion do not apply.
  • Enfeeble - The Enfeeble effect will not spread to adjacent Units. 
  • Halving- The Halving effect will not spread to adjacent Units. 
  • Lookout - Lookout does not reduce Blast damage.
  • Poison - Poison does not spread to adjacent Units via Blast damage. 
  • Retaliate - Blast damage is not melee damage so Retaliate will not trigger. 
  • Stun- Stun cannot spread to adjacent Units via Blast damage. 
  • Shatter - Shatter cannot spread to adjacent Units via Blast damage. 
  • Trample - Blast damage is not melee damage so Trample will not trigger.
