Giant Killer
"Does double damage against targets that cost 10 or more mana."
Standard damage to monsters that cost 9 or less mana.
Notable Rulesets
Top 3 Rulesets | Bottom 3 Rulesets |
What Doesn't Kill You - All monsters are granted increased speed and melee attacks when damaged. Enrage paired with Giant Killer can allow you to deal an even more devastating blow! | Back to Basics - keep in mind that monsters lose all abilities with this ruleset. |
Melee Mayhem - Melee monsters can attack from any position. | Little Leagues - Only monsters with a mana cost of 4 or below may be used. This negates the usefulness of Giant Killer |
Heavy Hitters - all monsters gain the Knock Out ability - double damage to enemies that are stunned. Coupled with pierce, this attack on a stunned monster could take them out of the battle. | Aimless - Concentrating giant killing attacks on your opponent's tank is generally ideal. Any ruleset that interferes with where attacks land may complicate your plans. |
Notable Abilities
Top 3 Abilities | Bottom 3 Abilities |
Inspire - +1 to all melee attacks. Imagine the damage you can do while enraged and inspired! | Demoralize - -1 to all melee attacks. |
Trample - when a Monster with Trample hits and kills its target with a Melee attack, it will perform another Melee attack on the next Monster on the enemy Team. | Stun - If your opponent uses stun, your monster will not be able to attack. This could hamstring your strategy if you were reliant on a strong tank for victory. Remember to round out your team with many attack types and abilities. |
Piercing - If Melee or Ranged attack damage is in more that the target's Armor, the excess will damage the target's Health | Forcefield - If the giant you seek to destroy has forcefield, woe betide your attack with power of 5+ as it will only do 1 damage. |
Remarkable Interactions
- Your opponent choosing to play a monster with 10+ mana cost and the Taunt ability will ensure that your Giant Killing attacks are directed towards the correct target.
- Spy on your opponent's previously played teams to see whether they favor 10+ mana tanks.
