Remarkable Interactions

1. Taking damage from Thorns can trigger Enrage if health is impacted. 
2. Reflection Shield prevents melee Units from taking damage from Thorns. 

Notable Rulesets

1. Up to Eleven: With all Units receiving Amplify, Units will take increased damage from Thorns.
2. What Doesn't Kill You: All Units gain enrage ability. Beware of granting your enemy 1.5x increased speed and melee attack (rounded up) when they take damage from Thorns.
3. Super Sneak: When all melee Units gain Sneak, they will target the last Unit on the team. Consider adding a Unit with Thorns in the final position and a Unit with Lookout in the next-to-last position. When combined with Amplify, this strategy will maximize the amount of damage your opponent's melee Units will take while minimizing the damage that your Thorny Unit will take. 

Notable Abilities

1. Stun - Consider the cost of preventing your opponent from attacking when Thorns is in play. Though your Thorny Unit will take damage, inflicting additional upon your opponent may be worth it. 
2. Return Fire/Magic Reflect - Combine these abilities with Thorns to ensure that your opponent pays dearly for all attacks.
3. Shield - Reduces damage from Thorns. 

Summoners with Thorns

Eternal Tofu is a Legendary Dual Element Tactics Summoner from the Rebellion set. Tofu was airdropped reward for participating in Conflicts and is now available in packs. Tofu can summon Units from the Earth and Life elements and grants +2 health, Snare, and Thorns to all friendly Units.

Choose between granting three Units Corrosive Ward and Divine Shield, or one Unit Triage and Scavenger. Increase the longevity of your team and take care of those pesky flyers with Eternal Tofu!

Mylor Crowling is invaluable in the lower leagues in Wild format. Consider renting one if you are continuously stomped by melee teams!
