Remarkable Interactions

1. Reduces thorns damage to 1 UNLESS Amplify is in play.

2. Shield will reduce damage returned from Return Fire.

3. Shield will negate any damage done by Redemption.

4. Further reduce the impact of melee attacks with Demoralize and Halving.

5. Shield will reduce damage taken from the Earthquake ruleset, but not from Noxious Fumes/Poison.

6. Expose can remove Shield from the defender.

7. Use Shield Ward to grant the unit in front of it Shield.

Notable Rulesets

Equal Opportunity - Melee units can attack from any position with Opportunity. A unit with low health, high armor, and Shield may be the perfect lure.
Earthquake - Unless your shielded unit has the Flying ability, Earthquake will reduce the damage taken but not eliminate it.

Notable Abilities

Shatter - Be aware that Shatter will destroy any armor whether or not Shield is in play
Thorns - Force your opponent to take damage when they strike you. Use Shield to rub salt in the wound, reducing the impact of their melee attack.
