Notable Rulesets
Top 3 Rulesets | Bottom 3 Rulesets |
Heavy Hitters - all monsters gain the knockout ability - double damage to enemies that are stunned. Coupled with pierce, this attack on a stunned monster could take them out of the battle. | Back to Basics - Monsters lose all abilities and any melee monster with Reach will only be allowed to attack from the first position. |
Spreading Fury - all monsters have the enrage ability - increased stats when damaged. This is useful especially if the final monster standing has a high health stat. | Little League - Currently, no monsters with a mana cost of 4 or below AND deathblow exist. Rendering this ability unusable within that ruleset. |
Super Sneak - Strategically place your monster with deathblow out of the way of sneaking monsters while you decimate your opponent's back line. Be sure that they are ready and able to deal the Deathblow to your opponent's final monster. | Noxious Fumes - Consider whether your monster with Deathblow will be able to make it to the final round, taking damage from Poison all the while. |
Notable Abilities
Top 3 Abilities | Bottom 3 Abilities |
Stun - Preventing any monsters on your opponent's team from attacking will help you to speed them more quickly towards demise.
|
Stun - If your opponent uses stun, your monster will not be able to attack. This could hamstring your strategy if you were reliant on a strong tank for victory. Remember to round out your team with many attack types and abilities. |
Inspire - +1 to all melee attacks. Imagine the damage you can do while enraged and inspired! | Forcefield - If the giant you seek to destroy has forcefield, woe betide your attack with power of 5+ as it will only do 1 damage. |
Last Stand - against a monster with Last Stand, deathblow may be the ideal take down. Likewise, it will come in handy if your monster with Deathblow also has the Last Stand ability. | Thorns/Return Fire/Magic Reflect - Be aware that your monster with Deathblow can still take damage from these retaliatory abilities. |
