Reach
"Melee attack Monsters with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team"
Beware of Blast and Thorns damage
Notable Rulesets
Top 3 Rulesets | Bottom 3 Rulesets |
Unprotected - Attack your opponent's main health stat directly. A strong tank with a reach monster can easily destroy your opponent's front line in the first round. | Back to Basics - Monsters lose all abilities and any melee monster with Reach will only be allowed to attack from the first position. |
Heavy Hitters - doubles attack on stunned monsters. Increase the focus on you opponent's monster in the first position by including a monster with reach. | Keep your Distance - Melee attack monsters may not be used rendering reach ineffective. |
Stampede - If you include monsters with the trample ability in your lineup, reach increases the odds that the trample ability will be triggered and turn into a stampede! | Fog of war - All monsters lose the sneak, snipe and opportunity abilities. This allows your opponent to focus more heavily on the front line. Consider whether a monster with reach, or one with opportunity or scattershot is more useful here. |
Notable Abilities
Top 3 Abilities | Bottom 3 Abilities |
Trample - when a Monster with Trample hits and kills its target with a Melee attack, it will perform another Melee attack on the next Monster on the enemy Team. | Demoralize - If your opponent plays a monster with demoralize, your monsters suffer -1 to melee attack. |
Enrage - when damaged, your monster will have increased melee attack and speed. The blast ruleset may be the perfect opportunity to utilize a monster with reach and enrage. Don't dish out more than you can take! | Halving - If your opponent plays a monster with the halving ability, be aware that the targeted monster will have their attack reduced by half - rounded down |
Piercing - If Melee or Ranged attack damage is in more that the target's Armor, the excess will damage the target's Health | Thorns - Be aware that your reaching monster can still take damage from thorns and blast. If they have the Reflection Shield ability, however, this does not apply. |
