Volley of Arrows

Other allied ranged attackers gain Volleying. When this unit attacks, those units immediately make one ranged attack that cannot miss against the same target, regardless of position. If this unit does not attack, no Volley occurs.
The first unit with Volley was introduced with Vaelira Silverwake
Remarkable Interactions
- Volley of Arrows must be active at the start of battle to grant Volleying.
- If a Unit with Volley of Arrows is defeated, another Unit with Volley of Arrows does not then grant Volleying to the remaining ranged attackers.
- If two Units with Volley of Arrows are played, the fastest Unit with Volley of Arrows activates the ability.
- Units granted Volleying make one ranged attack when Volley of Arrows activates.
- Units with Double Strike only make a single attack when attacking via Volleying.
- Volleying attacks cannot miss.
- Volleying attacks may be made regardless of the Volleying Unit’s position (including first position if no Close Range).
- If the Unit with Volley of Arrows does not attack or is Stunned, Volleying attacks do not occur.
- Volley of Arrows is not dispel-able.
- Volley of Arrows cannot be Mimicked.
Notable Abilities
- Return Fire - Because Volleying attacks are ranged attacks, Return Fire can punish teams relying on Volley of Arrows. Damage returned is equal to 50% of the ranged damage, rounded up.
- Deflection Shroud - Use Deflection Shroud to grant adjacent ranged attackers Deflect, protecting them from Return Fire.
Notable Modifiers
- Fire & Regret - All Units have Return Fire. Consider protecting ranged attackers with Deflect or Deflection Shroud before relying on Volley of Arrows.
- Going the Distance - With only ranged Units available, Volley of Arrows can create powerful concentrated attacks, but Return Fire and Deflect become especially important.
