Every player begins the game with a set of starter cards. This allows new players to experiment with gameplay in Modern format before choosing to rent or purchase cards. Only common and rare cards from the Chaos Legion set are included.
- Starter Cards may be used to earn Glint!
- Starter cards may NOT be used in tournaments and brawls per the 2024-01-02 Update.
- Starter cards may NOT be used in Wild format per the 2024-04-30 Update.
- Starter cards may NOT be used in Survival Mode.
Starter Cards
There are distinct differences when viewing starter cards in your collection. The starter card (on the left below) has a blue flag with an S in the top right corner and is more transparent. Hover over the blue S to reveal more information about Starter Cards.
When viewing cards in your inventory, starter cards will display a message indicating that you do not own them. Once you purchase or rent this card, the card within your Inventory will replace the message.
