What is Frontier format?
Frontier format is the new free-to-play format where players can play and earn cards without staking SPS or spending any money. Play through the campaign to unlock the frontier!
Frontier format differs from other ranked modes in that only Bronze, Silver, and Gold leagues are available. Only players who reach the maximum tier (Gold I) will be reset at end of season.
What cards are allowed in Frontier format?
Only cards from the Foundations set are usable in Frontier format. No reward cards or Gladiator cards may be used in this format.
How can I get cards?
Earn cards from the Foundations set by playing the campaign, advancing through the leagues, earning daily rewards, and placing on the leaderboard.
*Cards earned through the campaign are Soulbound and cannot be transferred or sold.
Buy cards from the market. Be sure to use the Foundations filter to bring these cards into view. Foundations packs can be purchased from the Non-Card Market.
What are the advancement prizes and daily rewards for Frontier format?
Earn frontier draws and frontier entries through daily quests. Rewards will be distributed based on the rating you are currently at when you claim.

What is in packs and chests?
Only regular and gold foils are in packs. Black foils and variants will be available via special raffles.
Foundations chests contain random rewards. Each chest has a 40% chance of containing Foundations cards, a 20% chance of containing potions, and a 40% chance of containing Frontier Energy. The following table shows the chances of receiving a card of each rarity and foil. Using a Legendary potion will double the chances of receiving both an Epic and Legendary card, and an Alchemy potion will double the chances of obtaining a Gold Foil card.
How can I get black foils and arcane variants?
Participate in weekly frontier draws by accumulating frontier entries (daily rewards & leaderboard rewards). When earned, frontier entries are entered into that week's draw automatically.
These weekly draws will take place over an estimated 105 weeks with a massive 7,982-card prize pool.
- One prize per account each week
- Entries go into that week's draw. Non-winning entries DO NOT roll over to the next week's draw, and are burned.
- Log in after each draw to check and claim your prizes
- Unclaimed rewards expire 90 days after the final drawing
- Frontier entries earned as end of season leaderboard rewards will always go into the draw that is currently running when the season ends.
- Foundations cards may be burned for frontier entries. Upon burning, entries will automatically be added to the ongoing event.
