Rentable Game Changers
Renting powerful cards can help you break out of lower leagues and earn more rewards sooner. If you are looking to advance in the leagues, renting a high-level deck can help you achieve just that! Follow this guide to learn How to Rent Cards.
*Keep in mind that several of these cards have a high mana cost, so make sure to consider this when selecting them for battles...
Wild Summoners:
Yodin Zaku adds +1 to ranged attacks, blast, and health, allowing you to grant the power of destruction to even your lowest health and attack cards! Consider the implications of the Return Fire modifier and ability - be sure that you do not dish out more than you can take!
Armed with Divine Shield, Lorna Shine prevents all of your units from suffering damage from the first attack that strikes them! This is particularly useful for units with low speed, allowing them to get in an attack before taking damage.
Mylor Crowling gives all of your units the Thorns ability. This causes melee units that attack your team to take damage themselves! Are you a fan of retaliatory abilities? Consider renting Owster Rotwell who grants the entire team magic reflect! Be sure to amplify retaliatory abilities for maximum damage.
Modern Summoners
Waka Spiritblade is extremely effective in the lower leagues! Paired with the ability to Poison enemy units, your team will wreak havoc on your enemy!
Underboss Fabino is a new summoner included in the Rebellion set. For the first time ever, players have the chance to apply poison with a 100% chance of activation. This is NOT the poison ability, but the effect itself. Once you select a unit, that unit will be poisoned. Players may instead choose to buff two of their melee units with an additional +2 melee attack! During live battles, players may view their opponent's team prior to battles, allowing the optimal option to be selected.
Wild Units
Kralus makes a phenomenal addition to any wild deck. Boasting Immunity and Flying at level 1, she is particularly useful in both the noxious fumes and earthquake modifiers. Oh, did I mention the dual magic and melee attacks? Hit your opponent twice with Kralus in the first position! Kralus gains heal at level 2, making her especially resilient to attacks!
Above, Magnor is displayed at max level in all of his glory. With Taunt at level 1, draw your opponent's fire away from your backline while they deal stealthy damage. At level 2, Magnor gains Enrage. When struck, Magnor gets 1.5x speed and melee attack. Add Trample into the mix, and Magnor can easily trounce the enemy. Return fire at max level only adds to Magnor's aggression.
Modern Units
Consider renting Jared Scar to strengthen your Life team. With Bloodlust, "This unit revels in the glory of combat and becomes more dangerous as the battle goes on. Every time it defeats an opponent, it gets +1 to all stats (in the Reverse Speed modifier, -1 to Speed)."
Using Stun, Water Caller can prevent the targeted unit from attacking. This can be a game-changer if your opponent is heavily reliant on their tank for victory!
At level 1, Queen Mycelia not only Protects your team with +2 armor but also delivers a +1 magic attack. When paired with the summoner Obsidian, Queen Mycelia is formidable indeed.
Low Mana cost cards ensure that your back line or any open spaces are filled. Consider renting Soul Fiend, Corpse Fiend, Scorch Fiend, Fungus Fiend, or Torrent Fiend for these 'unit shield' positions. Rent the Furious Chicken if you are playing in the Wild format!
