What is the Ambassador Program?
The Ambassador Program allows players to earn rewards by introducing players to Splinterlands. A replacement for the former Affiliate Program, the Ambassador Program is loosely based on a passed proposal. The Ambassador Program went live on December 10th, 2024.
*Note: It is now against the Terms of Service to refer yourself using alternate accounts.
How Can I Earn Through The Ambassador Program?
Share your referral link with friends, and enjoy earnings from various activities. In the Ambassador Program, two tiers exist:
Silver Tier:
Requirements: Refer at least 1 friend.
Gold Tier:
Requirements: 10 referrals who have at least $100 in purchases (via primary, secondary, or rental markets). This includes purchases and rentals made in-game and on supported third-party websites.
- Earnings for Gold Tier start to accumulate AFTER the above parameters have been met. The Ambassador must also have a Spellbook.
Benefits include everything in Silver, plus:
- Earn a 5% bonus (paid in DEC) for all packs your friends purchase (from the most recent set purchased from the in-game shop).
- Earn 1% of your friends’ transactions on peer-to-peer markets.
-
The minimum payout is 0.001 DEC* per transaction (smaller amounts are rounded to zero).
-
View the details in-game using the Benefits button under Ambassador Status
- While free to play accounts may participate in the Ambassador program and earn rewards in Silver Tier, a Spellbook is required to unlock all Gold Tier earnings.
Where did my Affiliates go?
Per the passed proposal, all referrals attained prior to this proposal were wiped. Only new referrals will earn rewards via the Ambassador Program.
When is Referral Information Required?
Referral information may be entered upon account creation. If a player clicks your Referral Link, this Referral box will be automatically filled with your username. Players may also manually input a username into the Referral Account box on the registration page.
How to Find Your Referral Link and the Accounts Referred
Step 1: Log into Splinterlands with the account you want to use as a referral account.
Step 2: Click on your name in the top right corner after you have logged in.
Step 3: Click on the option that states Ambassador Status.
Step 4: View your current referrals and referral link.
- Explain to the person using your referral link that they must create the account immediately after clicking the link. If you visit other links (on the Splinterlands website) first, the referral link may not register correctly.
Where Can I View My Ambassador Payments?
Locate the Payments tab on the Ambassador Status Page next to your list of Referrals.
Payments can also be viewed within your Splinterlands Currency Activity CSV.
Problems and Solutions
What happens if you do not get your referral credits immediately?
If you do not see your referral bonus credits, submit a ticket with the following information:
- Name of account that is the referred account.
- The amount that is missing, per what you were expecting.
- Any other relevant information you believe may help us resolve the issue.
What if I doubt the referral sign-up worked?
First, see the instructions above to see your linked referrals. If you believe that your referral may not have worked, submit a ticket with the following information:
- Name of the account that is the referral.
- What information is making you believe that the sign-up is not working?
- Name of the account that was supposed to receive the referral.
What was the previous Affiliate Program?
Previously, players would receive 5% of the lifetime purchases of Card Packs, Potions, and Summoner Spellbooks made by the referral, if the referral paid in credits.
- Note: This did not include any other purchases made from the Splinterlands Shop or elsewhere in Splinterlands.
- Note: This only included the purchase amount paid to Splinterlands. Per this proposal, 1/2 of proceeds from Rebellion pack sales go to the DAO. So, only half of the purchase of Rebellion packs qualified for affiliate payments.
