As of the weekly update on July 25th, 2023, players can now add and remove various delegated authorities in game, on the Account Security page. This includes delegation authority (of both cards and tokens), rental authority (of both cards and tokens), and purchase authority (of both cards and items). In this guide, we will outline how to access these options in game and add or remove authorities as desired.
How to Add Delegated Authorities
Step 1: After logging into Splinterlands, in the top right corner of the page click your username/shield icon, and in that dropdown menu select Account Security:
Step 2: On the Account Security page, at the bottom left, you will see the 'Authority' section, and the 3 available authorities: Delegation, Rental and Purchase.
Choose which authority you wish to grant to another account, enter their username in the blank field, then click Add:
**Note: You can enter multiple usernames per authority, and fill in multiple different authorities at this step.
Step 3: After filling in any of the usernames you wish to grant any or all of the authorities to, you will see them appear underneath their respective authority. Following this, you MUST click the save button. Simply clicking Add (or later, Remove) will not complete this process.
Step 4: You will see a warning pop up in the middle of the screen. Click Confirm:
Step 5: This will now prompt a Keychain transaction. Click Confirm in the Keychain pop-up:
Step 6: If successful, you will see the green banner pictured below in the top right of the screen:
You have successfully added an authority (or multiple authorities), which are visible on that same Account Security page as seen in Step 3.
How to Remove Delegated Authorities
Step 1: To remove a delegated authority, simply navigate to that same Account Security page. Find the username underneath the specific authority you wish to revoke, and click the X button next to it:
**Note: You can remove multiple usernames per authority, as well as remove usernames from multiple different authorities at this step.
Step 2: That username will disappear. As with adding an authority, you MUST click the save button to complete this process:
Step 3: You will again need to click Confirm in the pop-up in the middle of the screen:
Step 4: This will once again prompt a Keychain transaction. Click Confirm in the Keychain pop-up:
Step 5: If successful, you will see the same green banner pictured below in the top right of the screen:
You have now successfully removed an authority from an account.
