What is survival mode?
Survival mode is a new format that allows players to use every card within their collection. A few points differentiate survival more from modern and wild formats:
- No energy is required to battle - players can battle as much as they are able!
- When a card dies in a Survival mode battle, it will not be able to be used again until it is revived.
- Cards cannot be listed for rent, played in modern, wild, brawls or tournaments, or used on land when they are on cooldown from survival mode.

What should I know about flagging cards for survival mode?
After survival mode is released, all cards in each user's collection will be automatically flagged for survival mode.
- If survival mode is not played, this flag has no impact on transferability or utility at all. Players can choose not to participate in survival mode.
If players wish to unflag all of their cards for survival mode, they can click the Disable all cards from Survival mode button on the items page. Likewise, players can use the filters to select a group of cards and unflag or flag them as they desire.
Players can flag and unflag individual cards for survival mode by clicking the survival mode icon on the item details page.
Players can also create custom sets to house various playing decks and flag or unflag them for survival mode per their preference.

What survival mode filters are available?
Three new filters will be added to the collection screen to help players manage their collections:
- Survival Mode Enabled - displays every card currently flagged for survival mode.
- Survival Mode Disabled - displays every card not currently flagged for survival mode.
- Survival Mode Cooldown - displays every card currently on survival mode cooldown.
What should I know about rentals and survival mode?
Only Season Rentals may be used. Survival mode cooldowns reset at the end of each season.
Can I choose the level of cards I play in survival mode?
Yes. Use the new level drop-down filter to select the level of your cards. Please note: Summoning Unit Restrictions apply!
Can I view my opponent's previously played teams in survival mode?
Yes. Players will be able to view their opponent's previously played teams in survival mode.
How are draws handled?
In survival mode, auto draws (in which the same team is played) both player's summoners and units live. In draws where teams are different and the final cards played by both teams ultimately perish, both teams' summoners live.
What happens if I surrender?
If you surrender, one random unit and one random summoner from your collection will be put on cooldown for survival mode. Surrenders are identifiable by the red exclamation point displayed on the match history screen.
Do resurrected cards that survive until the end of the match count as alive or dead?
If a card dies, is resurrected, and survives until the end of the battle, they are considered alive and will NOT be placed on survival mode cooldown.
How long does it take for cards to come off of cooldown from survival mode?
All cards have their cooldowns reset according to the chart below and at the End of Season.

What are revival potions and are they currently available?
Revival potions will allow players to bypass the cooldown associated with a card's defeat in survival mode. They will be released at a later date (TBD), and are NOT part of the initial launch.
How will the reward pool work for survival mode?
From https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/introducing-splinterlands-survival-mode
- "Survival mode will have an SPS reward pool of the same size, and that works in exactly the same way as the reward pools for Modern and Wild formats. That means that players will win SPS from the reward pool for each win in Survival mode based on the reward shares they earned in that battle as compared to the total number of reward shares earned from all Survival mode battles over the past 15 days. The same calculations and modifiers/bonuses will apply to reward shares for Survival mode battles as for Modern and Wild battles."
- Splinterlands will initially provide the SPS rewards and leaderboard rewards.
- Glint rewards are planned to be added at a later date (TBD).
Where can I view my survival mode stats?
View your stats alongside your modern and wild stats within your player profile.
