Entry Requirements
From event to event, whether it be a Modern or Wild format tournament, a variety of conditions have to be met to be eligible to compete within certain tournaments, and in some cases only very minimal conditions need to be met. A list of entry requirements that may be present are as follows;
- Max league reached per format (Prior season)
- Entry Fee (Can be discounted based on the above condition)
- Collection Power (Optional)
- SPS Staked (Optional)
- Password (For private events)
Provided in the screenshot above is a standard example of a commonly hosted tournament by Splinterlands. According to the details displayed on the tournament details page, we can see that the tournament requires you to have a total of at least 4,723 Staked SPS, as well as a minimum of 50,740 Collection Power. After meeting these two conditions, you are eligible to join this particular event. Please remember that for Tournaments, Collection Power includes rented and delegated cards, while your overall CP displayed in your collection only includes Owned cards as of June 18th, 2024.
It is also possible that you may encounter a high entry fee, though they are often justified by a discount for users of a select league(s). A player who finished their previous season in either the silver or gold league will only have to pay an entry fee of 4 SPS, while other players who finished in other leagues or had not played the previous season, would have to pay the larger amount of 160 SPS.
Some tournaments do not allow such users outside of the appropriate leagues to join tournaments, and others can be completely open to anyone regardless of league. There are also custom events generated by streamers and players with their own custom requirements and rewards applied to such events open to most of the public.
Regarding password-protected events, any events listed while the Private Events filter on the tournaments page is active will require a custom password created by the host of the tournament to be input upon entry to join the tournament.
