Power of Three
![]()
All units that cost 3 mana start with +1 power.
- When Power of Three is active, any unit with a mana cost of 3 receives +1 to its attack power at the start of battle.
- Power of Three does not give a new attack type to units that do not already have one. For example, a 3-mana unit with no attack does not gain Melee, Ranged, or Magic damage from this Modifier.
Power of Three Strategy
Power of Three rewards careful use of low-mana units. A 3-mana unit with a useful attack type can become much more efficient when it receives extra power before the first round begins.
Consider using:
- 3-mana units with strong abilities.
- 3-mana units with Magic Attack, since Magic usually bypasses Armor unless another rule or ability changes that interaction.
- 3-mana Ranged or Melee attackers that can attack safely from their position.
- Buffs such as Inspire to further increase pressure.
- Defensive tools to keep your boosted 3-mana units alive.
Important Notes
Power of Three only affects units that cost exactly 3 mana.
It does not affect:
- Units that cost less than 3 mana
- Units that cost more than 3 mana
- Archons
- Units without an existing attack type
- Units Weapons Trained by a 3 mana card that do not cost 3 mana themselves.
Power of Three Modifier Interactions
- Even Stevens will not appear with Power of Three, since 3-mana units have an odd mana cost.
- Little League can make Power of Three especially important, since many eligible cards are already low-mana units.
- Back to Basics removes abilities, but Power of Three can still make 3-mana attackers more dangerous through raw stats.
