What is Wood?
Wood is produced by Logging Camps and is needed for Secret of Praetoria research and SPS mining. Wood is produced at a rate of .005 per production point per hour, and Logging Camp workers consume .01 Grain per base production point per hour.
- Wood was introduced as part of the Land 1.75 update.
How can I get Wood?
1. Build a Logging Camp. Review Building a Worksite: Resource Production or How to Change a Worksite for step-by-step guidance.
- If a grain farm was built on a terrain type that supports Wood, it will automatically switch to Wood after the first harvest post Land 1.75 release.
- Wood is produced at the rate of .002 per hour
2. Swap for Wood in the Trade Hub.
What terrain types support Wood?
Swamp, Forest, Tundra, and Jungles support Wood production
- Review Terrain Preferences to learn which Elements get boosts on land.
Use the Geography or Resource filters to locate plots that can produce Wood.

What are the future uses of Wood?
Eventually, you’ll use blast furnaces to forge Stone, Wood, and elemental essences into elemental stones. You’ll need these to reconstruct ancient ruins, where you’ll find gems, totem fragments… and the secret of Praetoria.
