What is Stone?
Stone is produced by Quarry buildings and is needed for Secret of Praetoria research and SPS mining. Stone is produced at a rate of .002 per production point per hour, and Quarry workers consume .01 Grain per base production point per hour.
- Stone was introduced as part of the Land 1.75 update.
How can I get Stone?
1. Build a Quarry. Review Building a Worksite: Resource Production or How to Change a Worksite for step-by-step guidance.
- If a grain farm was built on a terrain type that supports stone, it will automatically switch to Stone after the first harvest post Land 1.75 release.
2. Swap for Stone in the Trade Hub.
What terrain types support Stone?
Canyons, Deserts, and Hills support Stone production
- Review Terrain Preferences to learn which Elements get boosts on land.
Use the Geography or Resource filters to locate plots that can produce Stone.

What are the future uses of Stone?
Eventually, you’ll use blast furnaces to forge Stone, Wood, and elemental essences into elemental stones. These, you’ll need to reconstruct ancient ruins, where you’ll find gems, totem fragments… and the secret of Praetoria.
