Splinterlands supports transferring DEC and SPS tokens between your in-game account and external wallets across BASE, Ethereum (ETH), and Binance Smart Chain (BSC). This guide will walk you through the process for both transferring out (from Splinterlands to a chain) and transferring in (from a chain to Splinterlands) via the SPS.DAO bridge.
For demonstration purposes, we’ll use DEC on BSC in the examples, but the process is the same for ETH and BASE.
Transferring Out Tokens, From Splinterlands to External Chains
We will begin with transferring DEC from Splinterlands to your BSC wallet (Transfer Out). As mentioned before, for this article, we're going to stick with BSC since it has the cheapest gas, and is what the majority of users will be utilizing, but the same process will apply to ETH as well.
Step 1: Click your DEC or SPS balance on the top bar to open the token management page:
Step 2: On the dashboard, locate the Transfer button which you will click, as pictured below:
Step 3: Configure Transfer Details
-
From the first dropdown (From), select In Game.
-
From the second dropdown (To), select the target chain (BASE, ETH, or BSC).
-
Enter the Quantity of DEC or SPS you want to transfer, then click Transfer.
Step 4: The next page will show:
-
Transfer amount.
-
Receiving wallet address
-
Bridge fee
-
Estimated tokens you will receive on the chain
If everything looks correct, click Start Transfer:
Step 5: You will be prompted to sign the transaction via Hive Keychain (or your chosen wallet). Click Confirm.
Step 6: After signing, the page will display all transfer information, including transaction IDs.
Note: Transfers on BSC and BASE are usually fast, while ETH may take slightly longer due to network congestion.
Step 8: Once the bridge processes the transfer, a Release TX ID will appear. Check your wallet to confirm tokens reception.
Transferring In Tokens, From External Chains to Splinterlands

Step 5: Your wallet may prompt you to set a spending cap for the token and contract.
This is a security feature that prevents automatic draining of funds if your wallet is compromised.
Please note, if you enter an amount less than what you're attempting to transfer in,the transaction may show you an error, so we recommend not using Metamask's default, and setting an amount you're comfortable with (that is at least the amount you're attempting to transfer in).

Set a spending cap (then click next): |
Approve that cap: |
Step 6: Once approved, Splinterlands will update the transfer status.
Step 7: When the status reaches Deposit, confirm the actual transaction in your wallet. Click Confirm in Metamask:
Eventually, the process on the Splinterlands transfer page reach 'Success':
Step 8: Once the bridge has completed receiving and processing your tokens, and sending you the DEC in game, you will receive a confirmation via a banner in the top right of Splinterlands, as seen below:
With that, you now are able to transfer tokens into and out of Splinterlands via BSC/ETH! If you run into issues during this process, fell free to contact support.
