Guild Power: FAQ – Splinterlands

Per the update on June 13, 2023, Guild Power has been introduced as a means to level up guild buildings.

The Guild Power Update

The Guild Power Update encompasses several items:

Implementation of Guild Power as a new way to level up buildings. At the time of the update, existing DEC or DEC-B donations for guild buildings will be converted to permanently donated Guild Power.
- The option to power up guild power via either permanently donated GP or un-donated GP (wherein you recoup 90% of donations if you leave the guild) is now implemented.
A 7 day probationary period for new guild members:
- No new power contributions until 7 days after joining a guild.
- No purchasing of items from the guild store; shop discounts also do not apply until after this probationary period.
- Merit bonus from the Guild Store does not apply.
The option to purchase Blood Stones and Power Stones using DEC-B.

How to Get Guild Power

Step 1: Select the Guilds icon from the top navigation bar. Select Buildings then click Get GP:

Step 2: View the pop up:

Select DEC and DEC-B to exchange for GP.
Select a recipient, either yourself or another player.
Input the amount of DEC or DEC-B you would like to exchange for Guild Power and click the purple Pay with... button.

Step 3: Review the transaction and click OK. If you have Hive Keychain installed, confirm the transaction.

Step 4: View the notification of success and note the updated GP balance on the left side of the screen.

Now that you have Guild Power, you can use it to Power Up your guild!

How to Power Up Guild Power

Select the guild building you would like to power up.

Step 1: Determine whether you would like to make a permanent contribution or have the option to take 90% of donations with you in case you leave the guild. Check the "Donate to guild" box if you want to permanently donate the GP.

Step 2: Input the amount of Guild Power you wish to donate and click the purple Power Up button.
