What is Tribaldex?

Tribaldex is an exchange platform where Hive Engine tokens are traded against each other. These tokens include different Splinterlands currencies and packs such as DEC, SPS, CHAOS, etc. Using this platform is simple, and all it requires is a HIVE account. Splinterlands has Tribaldex integrated into some pages where you can buy tokens.

How to Use Tribaldex

Step 1: To go: https://tribaldex.com/. This takes you to the main page of the site.

Step 2: Then proceed to click the login button. Doing so will give you two options to log into the site: Hive Keychain and Smartlock. Follow the instructions displayed afterward to finish logging in.

Note: In our example, we use Hive Keychain. On the login page, you can find a download link for it.

Step 3: After completing the login process, go to the top bar and click Exchange.

Step 4: When the screen is done loading, navigate to the drop-down menu with the list of Hive-Engine tokens and locate the token you wish to trade.

Step 5: Type the abbreviation for the token you wish to trade, and you will be taken to the trading page for the token. Here, the token can be sold for SWAP.HIVE or bought with SWAP.HIVE.

Note: Swap.Hive is Tribaldex's version of HIVE. 1 Swap.Hive = 1 HIVE and represents the token on the exchange. This same principle applies to other Swap.Tokens as well.

Buying:

To buy a Splinterlands token, ensure you are on the buy tab; you can enter the price in HIVE that you wish to pay per token, then enter the total number of tokens you want to buy. This process can be made quicker by clicking on any existing sell order on the right side. This will automatically fill the form with the order price and amount. Clicking on any of your existing balances adjusts the quantity to the total amount you currently have. Once the form is complete, click the buy button, and finish the transaction. The token will be deposited into the account shortly.

Selling:

To sell a Splinterlands token, ensure you are on the sell tab; then, you can enter the price in HIVE that you wish to sell at per token, then enter the total number of tokens you want to sell. This process can be made quicker by clicking on any existing buy order on the left side. This will automatically fill the form with the order price and amount. Clicking on any of your existing balances adjusts the quantity to the total amount you currently have. Once the form is complete, click the sell button and finish the transaction—the SWAP.HIVE will be deposited into the account shortly.

Tip: When buying or selling, like other exchanges, better offers are accepted first if they have a better price than the price you listed. If any amount is left over after buying/selling to an existing order, the remaining amount will be put on the market to be fulfilled by another order.

Cancelling:

To cancel an already existing order you created, scroll down on the form to the Open Orders section. All the orders that have not yet been fulfilled are listed here and you may cancel them anytime. Just click on the Cancel button next to the order to cancel a single order. If you wish to cancel multiple orders, check the boxes next to the orders and then click Cancel Selected.

Withdrawing Assets

There are no fees to deposit Splinterlands assets into Splinterlands from Tribaldex. However, there are fees associated with withdrawing and depositing other currencies. For example, one of the more commonly used currencies - HIVE - has a 0.75% fee for depositing and withdrawing (This can be reduced to a 0.25% fee using services such as Beeswap). This fee varies between currencies.

Withdrawing Non-Splinterland Currencies

To withdraw non-Splinterlands currencies such as Hive, go to your wallet next to the username and click the Withdraw button. Select the currency you wish to withdraw, enter the amount and wallet address, then wait for the site to send the funds.

Depositing Splinterlands Assets Into the Game

To manually deposit assets into the game, the most common method is to send a Splinterlands-related asset to:

Account name: steemmonsters

Memo: (none needed)

The asset will deposit into the game account associated with the Hive-Engine account which sent it. However, be cautious with this method since a misspelling in the recipient account name will result in the asset being permanently lost. 

A safer method would be using in-game methods to create the transaction for you, such as the internal SPS-Tribaldex page. This means going to the DEC withdrawal/deposit page for DEC, the SPS page for SPS and Vouchers, the Open page for pack withdrawal/deposit, and much more. A list is included below.  Something like Beeswap can also be used here for moving assets around, if you prefer that tool.
