DEC and SPS transfers between Hive and the ETH or BSC chains are handled by a third-party bridge service provider called Terablock. This service is directly utilized from the Splinterlands website for either sending one of the mentioned assets outbound towards a linked external wallet or for initiating an inbound transfer from a browser extension wallet.
In the following steps, we will explain how to navigate through the transfer process. The first part of the provided guides will explain how to open the transfer menus of each asset on the website. We will then go through the entire process using an SPS transfer towards BSC to initiate a transfer of SPS using the bridge since both DEC and SPS work very similarly between either chain in making both inbound and outbound transfers, though fees may differ between chains.
Important: If transferring assets outbound to an external address, please make sure you first link an external wallet address to your Splinterlands account so that assets are sent to the appropriate destination. The address you are assigning must be an address that you own your private keys to and not an exchange address, else assets may become lost.
Transferring Out
Step 1: Enter the Splinterlands website and log in to your account. Then click on either of the two bars displaying the icons for DEC and SPS.
Step 2: You will be redirected to either the SPS management page or receive a popup window for DEC, depending on which of the asset icons you selected that you wish to transfer. As the process is very similar between either of these chains and assets, this guide will proceed with clicking on the Transfer button shown on the SPS management screen, which should then prompt a window that looks like the DEC window shown above.
Step 3: With the Transfer In/Transfer Out window open, enter the amount of SPS/DEC that you wish to transfer out to your external wallet. You should also see a Select Transfer Type dropdown where you can choose where you would like to direct your assets. After your selection, click on the Transfer Out button.
Step 4: You will then receive a confirmation window displaying more information, such as the estimated fee and amount of SPS to be received. Click on the OK button if you would still like to proceed with the transaction.
Step 5: You will then be prompted to sign for your transaction using your private key or Hive Keychain application to proceed. Either enter the private active key or click on the Confirm button as necessary.
Step 6: After confirmation of the transaction is successful, you will be presented with something similar to the information in the window above. You may also want to save your Lock TX ID as a receipt to provide to Terablock support in case anything happens when utilizing their bridge.
Step 7: To visibly see any successfully received tokens when making transfers to an external BSC or ETH wallet, you may check bscscan.com or etherscan.io, and enter your wallet address into the appropriate field displayed on either of the websites. Once entered, scroll down to where you can locate your transaction history, and click on the BEP-20 Token Txns tab for BSC or the ERC20 Token Txns tab for ETH to view any of your transactions using DEC or SPS.
This concludes the guide for making outbound transfers of DEC/SPS to BSC/ETH.
