How Do I Rent My Cards to Other Players?
Renting out your unused cards is an excellent way to earn - providing additional DEC liquidity to rent or purchase cards, or other items.
Step 1: Locate the card you want to list for rent by navigating to your Items, and selecting "Owned" from the drop down menu (pictured below). Use Card Market Filters to help locate your card.
Step 2: Select the specific card you want to rent out, and click the market icon (pictured below).
Step 3: Ensure that you select the RENT CARD tab rather than the SELL CARD tab (pictured below).
Step 4: Specify the Rental Type via the Dropdown: Season or Daily.
- Daily Rentals can be cancelled by either party after the minimum 48 hour rental period.
- With 7 or more days left in a season, Season Rentals will be active until the end of the current season, at which point they can be cancelled.
- With fewer than 7 days left in a season, Season Rentals will remain active through the end of the current season, and through the end of the next season.
- Season rentals can not be cancelled by either party until the end of the specified season.
Step 5: Input your Rental Price per day. Click the green "Rent" button (pictured above).
Note: Renting out below the "Suggested price" will increase the chances for the card to be rented sooner, both initially and after the first rental period has ended. However, if you want to maximize earnings, this may not always be the best option for you, so always check the current market rates so you can make an informed decision.
Step 6: Confirm your listing by clicking the OK button in the pop-up pictured above.
** Note: As of March 7th, 2023, listing a card for sale or rent will cost 1 DEC or 1 credit as a listing fee. Changing the price of an item currently on the market will also incur this same fee.
Step 7: Verify the success of your listing by locating it in the Market, or navigating to your inventory. The market icon (pictured below) confirms that it is listed for rent on the market.
How Do I Know When My Card Has Been Rented Out?
If you see both the Market Icon (the house/building below in yellow/orange) and the Rented Icon (the two green arrows below) next to the card, the card is rented out to a player.
To view your recent rental history (including income) navigate the "Market" page, click the "Card Rentals" tab, and then the "Activity" button to view your most recent rental activity (all pictured below).
As all card rentals are paid in DEC, you can also check your Currency Activity page to keep track of rental payments.
