In this article we will describe how to transfer DEC between your Splinterlands in-game balance and an external wallet.
Linking Your Wallet
Firstly, if you are planning on transferring outwards, then you will need to link a personal wallet address. [DO NOT link an exchange wallet address]
In order to link an external wallet address, you will need to follow the steps below:
Step 1: Click Your username, or the shield icon in-game, and select the option Link External Wallet:
Step 2: Insert your personal wallet address within the address field under the appropriate wallet type, tick the checkbox to acknowledge that you are not using an exchange address, and then click the save button. (You may see a prompt to sign with the appropriate Hive key to confirm this change. If so, you may sign for the transaction to confirm the changes.)
And now you should be able to successfully transfer assets out towards the assigned destination address that you have just added to your Splinterlands account.
Transferring DEC
Step 1: Click the DEC icon in-game:
Step 2: Insert the amount you want to transfer, and select either Binance Smart Chain Wallet, Ethereum Wallet, or Tron Wallet from drop-down list, then click TRANSFER OUT if you are transferring out, or TRANSFER IN if you have a browser extension wallet installed and would like to transfer in from a particular wallet:
Step 3: You will discover either of the two images below depending on whether you had selected Transfer In or Transfer Out.

Transfer In
Step 4: Finally, as with any transaction, you may be prompted with a window to sign with your key in order to confirm that you would like to initiate this transfer, whether this be with your external wallet to transfer the funds in, or with your Hive wallet to transfer the funds out.
Note: It could take some time, and delays may occur occasionally depending on the traffic of the chain at the time of transacting.
