Clearing Stuck Battles on the "Waiting..." Screen via Browser Console

If for any reason you are unable to start a new battle because your battle queue window is stuck/frozen on the 'Waiting...' screen, you can leave the current "outstanding_match" via your browser's console by following the steps below.

We will assume initially that you are logged into the game using Hive Keychain. If you have not installed Hive Keychain yet you can follow this Hive Keychain Installation and Usage guide.

Clearing Stuck Battles via Browser Console

Step 1: You encounter the pop-up pictured below, and the surrender button will no longer be visible.  Refreshing the page will not cause it to disappear, even after the battle has clearly ended and the timer has hit 0:00.

Step 2: If for any reason you reloaded the site are not on the battle page, use the Battle Page link here to make sure you're on that page, with the 'Waiting...' pop-up still visible.

Step 3: Open your browser's console:

Windows CTRL + SHIFT + J
MacOS ⌘ + SHIFT + J

Step 4: Confirm you're on the 'Console' tab, pictured above.  Paste the following line in the console: SM.Surrender(SM._currentBattle["id"]) then press Enter on your keyboard. Check the image below for reference.

Step 5: After a few seconds the current battle should be resolved. Please refresh your browser by pressing F5 on your keyboard (⌘ + R on Mac) if you don't see any change in the battle screen.
